After a recent short trip to Amsterdam, walking at a much slower pace than usual due to a sprained ankle, dodging heavy rain showers and bicycles coming at me in all directions, I was happy to capture a few calmer moments whilst strolling along the grachten and bridges.

The sunshine was full of surprises in between and shone some light on this romantic, quirky and hectic city.
